Nostalgic of 80's fashion, Primp embellishes basic tees, sweats and dresses with patterned graphics, sequins and charm zippers. Primp debuted in spring of 2004. It was immediately picked up by Henri Bendel and went on to become one of their hottest designers of the year. The name Primp is representative of a feminine yet edgy brand. Designers, Wells Butler and Emily Kersman originally created each piece by hand, delivering them in person to their retailers. When celebs started sporting Primp's fashions, an immense following soon developed. Jessica Simpson sported their splattered sweats on episodes of "The Newlyweds. Since then, designers Wells Butler and Emily Kersman have continued to surprise devotees of the line with fun new pieces.
