Designer Yael Aflalo has been creating luxurious tailored to perfection clothing since 1999. Based in L.A.'s trendy fashion district, the clothes are about urban sophistication and femininity. YaYa's designs emphasize elegant fabrics, flattering cuts and wear ability. Aflalo was born in L.A. in 1977. After attending the University of California at Berkley, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in L.A. Aflalo first began designing piece by piece starting with a pair of Levis and deconstructing them. Fred Segal buyer, Jon Eshaya, took notice of Aflalo's work and urged her to create her own line.

The line officially launched in fall, 2002. Today YaYa's line is carried in more than ten countries and select boutiques and department stores. Each of Aflalo's products is created by a carefully selected manufacturer. Materials range from silk to cashmere to canvas. Our favorites include sexy, satin tops and the George trouser, which seems to make every girl look instantly slimmer.
