Mark Eisen's luxurious sweaters don't even need embellishment. Each piece, whether a long backless sweater, a classic polo or a bat-winged top, is 100% cashmere. The sweaters hit below the hips and come in soft, easy to wear shades. "The idea was to bring a new proportion to this market," Eisen explains, "playing with elongated silhouettes and volume." Karoo is named after the arid desert region of Eisen's native South Africa. "It's the most beautiful place. It has a diamond-encrusted sky at night," Eisen said. "It's magical." Today Eisen splits his time between South Africa and New York.
